OC Connectorization

Fiber Pigtailing Micromachining allows Optical CrossLinks to offer a fiber pigtailing option with high coupling efficiency. A channel is cut into the waveguide, cladding layers define a top and bottom and the fiber is inserted into the channel. All passively aligned, the coupling losses are on the order of <0.2 dB for even single mode applications.
MT Connectors Our unique MT connector also utilizes micro-machining to passively align a waveguide array within the MT ferrule "clam shell". This part mates with standard MT connectors. As with the fiber pigtailing, coupling efficiencies are quite high (IL<0.5dB).
Optical Surfaces We can use Micromachining and/ or polishing to provide a smooth optical surface.
